Corrective and Articulatory Phonetics is a course designed to First-year EFL students, UC1. It provides students with a theoretical canopy and a practical training needed to effectively pronounce English speech sounds. In this course, students will be introduced to the anatomy of the vocal organs with special emphasis on the technical terms used to describe the organs of speech situated along the vocal tract and the way these articulators move to produce speech sounds as well. Students, also, will learn and drill on (i) identifying, (ii) pronouncing, and (iii) transcribing English speech sounds using appropriate phonetic symbols.
